CMS has developed an electronic system that allows us to handle the settlement processing function for commissions owed to Independent Contractors who provide services to their clients. We have developed this system to help reduce the administrative costs and functions involved in the processing, reconciliation, and electronic distribution of commissions owed to Independent Contractors. CMS also handles the processing of 1099s for each Independent Contractor at the end of each tax year while reducing client exposure to IRS penalties resulting from inappropriate reporting. Further exposure reduction comes with management of financial compliance with court ordered garnishments, liens, child support, and levy collections.

This affiliate insurance provider has agreed to offer a program where their Workers’ Compensation arm will not audit for purposes of assessing premium on the Independent Contractors as long as the previous two programs and CMS are in place. Enrolling with CMS is a simple, paperless process allowing Independent Contractors to sign necessary documents with Click-to-Sign technology. Hard copy documents such as proof of insurance, credentials and certifications can easily be uploaded and attached to the Independent Contractor Profile.
