use the programs we offer or provide proof of their own coverage, CMS helps to reduce the liability that exists to you,
your customer, the Independent Contractors and their families by working with you to see to it each member provides services to
your company is properly insured against any injuries they sustain while providing their services as independent contractors.
Settlement Processing
CMS has an electronic system that allows us to handle the settlement processing function for commissions owed to the Independent
Contractors that provide services to your company. We have developed this system to help reduce the administrative costs and
functions involved in the processing, reconciliation, printing and distribution of the commissions owed to Independent
Contractors. CMS also handles the processing of the 1099s for each Independent Contractor at the end of each tax year.
Administrative Services
CMS has a variety of administrative services that we provide in order to reduce the liability, costs and headaches of dealing
with the processing of Independent Contractors' commissions. The administrative services provided by CMS include not only
processing of settlements and 1099 forms, but also processing of garnishments, child supports and levy collections,
collection and submission of funds for our optional programs, such as possibly background checks and drug screening automated functions.

Legal Challeneges
CMS will, when requested by Members, advise such Members in complying with applicable federal, state and local laws
relating to taxation, unemployment insurance, workers compensation and the like, as those laws may apply to Members. Upon request,
we have referrals to law firms, if necessary, that we can offer.
CMS advises Client's in their defense of audits, claims, demands, lawsuits, and administrative proceedings challenging the
independent contractor status of a CMS Member. The advise CMS provides generally includes providing: (1) help on writing a
position statement on behalf of Client, if requested by Client, supporting the independent contractor status of a Member
to the IRS, state unemployment insurance department, workers' compensation carrier or board, and any other state or federal
agency, auditing body or court; (2) help in producing documents in the possession of CMS; and (3) testifying (as necessary)
for the client to the IRS, a state unemployment insurance department, a workers' compensation carrier, or any other local,
state or federal agency, auditing body or court.
